Mermaid Tattoos is a trendy brand of temporary tattoos that draws inspiration from all things Mermaids, Sea Monsters, and Sirens. Their products are designed by in-house artists and feature hyper-realistic designs that give the illusion of scales, without the commitment of a permanent tattoo.

Brand Design

I set out to craft a fresh and engaging logo and logo icon, drawing inspiration from two sources that have overlapped throughout history: American traditional tattoos and the enchanting world of mermaids. The challenge was to take these typically maximalist styles and streamline them into a cohesive and easily identifiable brand that could also be used for stickers and other supplemental materials.

eCommerce and Marketing Design

I successfully delivered an e-commerce refresh that prioritized ease of use and offered a clearly defined customer journey. My primary objective was to create a platform that provided a seamless and intuitive experience for visitors. This was achieved by optimizing the website for mobile devices, ensuring that it was responsive and user-friendly on smartphones and tablets. This mobile optimization prioritized conversions, particularly from social media marketing efforts, as customers arriving from various social media channels could smoothly navigate the site, discover their desired products, and quickly complete their purchases.

I was also tasked with managing the brand assets, design documents, and design files in Figma.

Furthermore, I implemented a custom feature within the e-commerce platform offering bundle discounts to customers. By encouraging customers to purchase multiple products together at a discounted rate we were able to boost cart values and increase the average transaction value by over 30%.
