Social media made up 50% of the total number of visitors mermaidtats.com received for all of 2020. 15% of that was direct traffic from Instagram, 30% was from Pinterest, and the remaining 5% was from Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok combined.
In addition to creating and scheduling content for each channel, my other primary responsibility was managing our influencers; Managing their post schedules, mailing out promotional materials, generating leads, and enrolling new influencers.
Eventually I built an Affiliate Marketing Campaign using our existing pool of Influencers, providing custom coupons and referral URLs that Influencers can then share with their followers, incentivizing them to promote the product in exchange for a commission when a sale is made. Influencer posts featuring the product went up 70% within the first week of launching the campaign.
